My earliest memory I had about art was when I was in elementary school, and I was able to utilize a medium I never used before. For instance, in second grade, I had an art teacher that would come in class and teach us how to use watercolor. She would talk about Claude Monet and Renoir were great artists and used color in an interesting way. She gives tutorial how to use a paint brush by being gentle and making soft strokes. Also, I Iearned how to mix colors with watercolor paint, and I thought it was amazing how much paint it is needed to get a certain color. Also, she taught the class how to make different strokes to make or paintings interesting. In addition, she would mentioned how important to be a clean artists by having our cup of water be clean, our desk be appropriate organized, and having enough paper towels to wipe our brushes or clean a certain area. I always looked forward for her to teach the class more about watercolor and art.
Afterward, I took many art classes in high school and college. Through these courses I learned from great professors who taught me great techniques I can utilized in. I became more familiar with many mediums that I can utilize in my artwork. Also, I learned more about the history of great artists that help evolve the art industry. Now I am still doing my art in my own time, still learning of different artists, go to museums, and getting inspired by other artworks.
